    "Beyond Earth" is designed for you.  Have you ever become frustrated because everything you want to know about Project Mercury is spread out around the vast space of the internet?  I constructed this web site to place some of the more interesting and important information in one place.  Now you too can know who the first American in space was and how they got there just by looking through this site.  Enjoy your voyage through space!
 

In constructing this web site I hoped to accomplish the following objectives:
        1. Encourage you, the viewer, to become more interested in the fields involved in space exploration, especially in the concentrations of math and science.
        2. Make you feel more confident, and less apprehensive about the vast amounts of information about aspects of space exploration on the internet today.
        3. Have you develop an appreciation towards the men and women that have made advancements in American space exploration possible.
        4. To make more resources available to you and your teachers about space exploration, specifically about Project Mercury, including interesting, fun educational activities to enhance your learning experiences in numerous academic areas.
        5. For you to come away with dreams of doing something extraordinary in your lives!
