ICE Case Study Proposal (Assignment #1)

Give me a proposal for your case study topic and briefly expound on that idea. The proposal should be at least two pages long and organized along the following lines. These three areas of focus are naturally the first two categories and the last category in the TED case studies coding structure. See the ICE Template.

1. Abstract

Provide a one-paragraph abstract that covers the key areas of research focus and overall point of the case study. Think about what you think, going in, are some of the key issues that you want to develop.

2. Description

Provide some initial research into the topic that gives me an indication of the key issues, events, topics, and other criteria you intend to investigate in undertaking the case study. Think also about the multi-disciplinary aspects of the case study as well as its historical antecedents and social context. Make sure that trade plays a prominent role in the analysis and structure the other criteria around it.

16. Relevant Literature and Sources

Provide some initial sources, in print and on the Web, that you intend on using.
