The New CCC:
Climate Change and Conflict

The CCC project intends to look beyond the projections on a changing climate and to the social impacts that will naturally follow. Migrating peoples, changing conditions of sovereignty, increasing regional scarcities and other factors will lead to large-scale organized conflict. How best to minimize or prevent that outcome? The inspiration for the project might be the Civilian Conservation Corps, a 1930s program of Franklin Roosevelt, aimed at environmental conservation and finding jobs during the worst depression in U.S. history.

Scientific Expert Group SEG The Scientific Expert Group on Climate Change and Sustainable Development (SEG) was formed and is comprised of 18 distinguished international scientists.
