This checklist will guide you through many of the steps you need to take as an admitted student. Print off this page and keep track of the pre-arrival steps you have completed. Each step includes a document to read or a link to click. Please read these documents and linked websites carefully. If you have any questions, contact your Abroad at AU Advisor.
_____ Read the Next Steps document and return the signature page confirming you have read and understand the document. The Next Steps document was attached to your admissions email.
_____ Send your Enrollment Confirmation and Housing Application form with $500 deposit. For more information about the Enrollment and Housing application form, please see our Enrollment and Housing page.
_____ Apply for your visa as soon as you receive your official acceptance packet. More information can be found in your Next Steps document and in your acceptance packet that has been/will be sent to you.
- _____ Make visa interview appointment with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in your home country
- _____ Pay your mandatory SEVIS fee
- _____ Complete all application materials required by the U.S. Embassy/Consulate nearest you.
_____ E-mail your course registration request to Abroad at AU after you have been sent the Registration Email. For more information, please see our Course Registration page.
- _____ Meet with your home university advisor to discuss which courses can be transferred back and how to transfer them.
_____ Inform Abroad at AU of your travel plans. For more information about airports, please see your Next Steps document.
_____ Accept / waive your health insurance. Please see our Health & Immunization page for more information.
_____ Submit your original immunization form to the Health Center. Please see our Health & Immunization page for more information.
_____ Choose / terminate your dining plan. Please see our admitted students' Housing and Dining page for more information.
