My research interests involve the structure and physico-chemical characterization of bio-molecules. These include DNA, Proteins and their metal and/or drug complexes. NMR and other spectroscopic studies are major methods. Chiral synthesis and resolution are done as needed. Recent studies have involved Ruthenium derivatives of the anthracycline anticancer drugs and macrolide antibiotics. Bioinformatics and molecular modeling are new interests related to the research.
