The abstract includes title, full name and professional affiliation of author, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and email address (if available). 3. The text should cover the purpose of study, methods, results, and conclusions. 4. Standard abbreviations should be used. Special or unusual abbreviations should be placed in brackets after the full words for which it stands. 5. Only 35 mm slides mounted in 5X5 cm standard frames are acceptable to the slide projector. 3. 20 minutes will be given for each symposium oral presentation: 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. 4. The posters should be self-explanatory. Prepare to give informal presentations and to answer questions in front of your poster. 5. The poster is usually divided into specific segments including introduction, methods, results, and conclusions. Poster board in 1 m wide by 2 m high (for one person) is available. Current room rate for Standard twin room is US$ 75.00/day The rate includes breakfast only for a person. If you share a room with someone else, one of you should pay additional fee of US$ 8.00 for breakfast. A deposit of one night's room rate in the hotels is required to reserve the room, the balance being payable direct to the accountant of the Organizing Committee. Reservation with the deposit must be received by May 1, 2000 to ensure guaranteed accommodation at the preferential rates. Hotel rooms will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. If you want to share a room with a colleague, please indicate his or her full name and country in the Room Reservation Form and both of you should pay one night deposit with registration fee. VISA A valid passport and visa are required to enter China. Upon receiving your registration form and fees, the secretariat will send you a formal invitation letter issued by the Chinese Ministry of Health. Please apply for an entry visa with this official invitation at the Chinese Embassy (Consulate-General or Visa Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in your country. CURRENCY Chinese currency is Renminbi(RMB). The current exchange rate of 1 US dollar is around 8.23 RMB. TRANSPORTATION Beijing International Airport is about 35 km apart from Beijing Continental Grand Hotel. Taxis are convenient and inexpensive with cost about RMB 2 yuan (US$ 0.25)/km. The Organizing Committee will organize participants for sightseeing in Beijing on June 14, Wednesday. A trade exhibition including sport and exercise equipment, nutritional foods, and sport drinks will be held in conjunction with the Conference.
