Tomorrow's leaders in health promotion are being educated at American University today.

 

Intern

AARP has a full time position available immediately on the Health Team for a professional with a masters degree. The position would involve project management, program design and implementation. Knowledge of social marketing, behavior change and physical activity a plus. Must have public health or health promotion experience.

We are also currently looking for a graduate intern to help with the coordination of a physical activity program for employees at AARP in Washington, DC. The intern would be part of the AARP Health Team. The intern will be managed by the Campaign Manager for Health. Responsiblities will include working with team members and other respresentatives of the Association to establish the implementation plan for the activity, create promotions, and monitor the activity. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with the establishment of a health promotiom program for AARP employees.

The candidate should be graduate student in the AU Health and Fitness program with a knowledge of behavior change theory, marketing and program evaluation.

Start date is ASAP. Length of internship and number of hours per week is negotiable.
