Position: Chair of the Department of Health Promotion Chair of the Department of Health Promotion The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is Doctoral/Research-Intensive urban university offering Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree programs to approximately 18,900 students. UTEP has become a national leader in research, innovative educational initiatives and community-based activities of special relevance to the US-Mexico border region and Latino population. The University is located in the dynamic border region of Texas, New Mexico and Mexico. The city of El Paso, with a population of about 700,000, is positioned in one of the world's largest bi-national metropolitan areas, adjacent to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The international and multicultural characteristics of this region provide the faculty with distinctive opportunities for teaching, research and service. *Qualifications* Candidates should possess an earned Doctoral degree in a health-related academic field (Public/Community Health, Health Promotion/Education, Nutrition or related field); have a record of academic research and teaching and have experience in securing external funding to support research.
