This neighborhood heritage trail is part of a citywide effort in Washington, D.C., to attract tourists off the Mall and into Washington's neighborhoods to study the "real" Washington history. As part of their work in Introduction to Public History, Spring 2001, students conducted archival and photographic research and over 50 oral history interviews, and assisted with publicity and community relations for this project. The signage for the Trail will probably be installed during the spring of 2002.
