How
to Apply to the AU TESOL Program
You must apply for admission through CAS
(College of Arts and Sciences). For a step-by-step description of the
application process for any TESOL related master's program (the MA in
TESOL, the MAT:ESOL, the MIP) click
here.
From the link above, you can complete a master's
application in two ways:
(a) apply interactively on-line (Note: AU's on-line application
is most compatible with Microsoft's "Internet Explorer" browser.
Netscape works but it can be a little problematic. We have not had experience
with other browsers - if you use a different browser, please share your
experiences with us).
(b) retrieve the downloadable application
by clicking Apply (on the left), and then Downloadable Forms. However,
if you do not apply on-line the application fee jumps from $50 to $80
dollars.
To apply to the
TESOL Certicate Program click here and go to the link of your choosing (downloadable or on-line options)
at the bottom of the page. There is a $50 registration fee for the TESOL
Certificate, payable to "American University." Please send your
payment, either check or cash, to
