The WATESOL JOB BANK: The Job Bank provides a free listing service for employers seeking ESOL teachers and WATESOL members seeking employment. Many of the job postings arepart-time and/or temporary positions, and many need to be filled immediately. Higher Ed. teachers should note that requests from college/university programs tend to be cyclical, with last minute requests often occurring at the beginning of the semester.
 
The Maryland TESOL Job Site: Maryland TESOL now has a page on their website where institutions may list ESL/ESOL job openings. Go to the Maryland TESOL home page linked here, then click on "Local Job Search."

    Domestic and International Job Sources

    TESall- TESall.com is the Web's first vertical search portal for ESL/EFL job seekers. Our spider crawls job boards across the Internet, indexing their postings and making them searchable. The result is a one-stop search that gives you access to thousands of vacancies posted on multiple job boards.

    TESOL Placement E-Bulletin: Current TESOL members may sign up to receive PEB by e-mailing careers@tesol.org, or filling out this brief on-line form. If you are not yet a TESOL member, join today - and check the box on your application marked "Subscribe me to Placement E-Bulletin."Placement E-Bulletin" is a list of ESL and EFL job announcements from around the world as posted in JobFinder . PEB is e-mailed biweekly to subscribing members. Whether you are looking for your next position or are just curious about ESL/EFL employment trends, PEB is a useful resource.

    TESOL Convention Employment Clearinghouse: Usually held in March or April at the annual TESOL Convention. A way to gain access to interviews of the best ESL positions in the American network every year.

    TESLJB-L(Jobs and Employment) Listserv: :A wide variety of both international and domestic positions come through this listserv on a weekly basis. Site also has occasional threads on employment issues, salary questions, and working conditions in different countries. All for free! To join TESLJB-L you first have to join the general TESL-L listserv. To do that send the following information in the body of your email: 

             SUB TESL-L (your e-mail address) (your first & last name) 

    Send the e-mail to LISTSERV@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU.  Once you've subscribed to this main TESL-L listserve you can also subscribe to the following simply by sending the SUB message (with your first and last name only, you don't need to repeat your e-mail address) to the listserv name of your choice: SUB TESL-L (your first & last name)
 

        International Exchange Programs, Useful Information for Working Abroad, and Other International Job Resources

    The Gray List - An excellent resource to make sure you're not applying to a school notorious for abusing its teachers. The Gray List provides recommendations about where NOT to work--all over the world now, but especially in Asia.    
Peace Corps - 27 months, excellent support structure and good re-entry resources. An excellent vehicle for your first trip abroad. Technical and language training provided. Worldwide postings, especially Eastern Europe and the former USSR. Plan on 6 to 12 months for application process.
