American University Off-campus Housing - Access to a page maintained by AU to find apartments and houses in the area surrouding AU's campus

American University Blackboard - A website (often a component of coursework) that hosts discussions on various topics according to class.

American University's OIT Help Desk on the Web - Website that is good for helping you with technology distress

Aladin - The search engine for the DC Consortium libraries (AU is a part of this). Access MyAladin to find out when your books are due, if you owe any late fees or fines, or to bookmark your favorite electronic journals (MyAladin requires a student ID number for access.)

NCELA - National Clearinghouse for English Language Acquisition - Boasts an excellent electronic journal library

IATEFL - International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language - the British equivalent of America's TESOL

The Linguist List - How to become a full-fledged linguist! The lingo, the job, all the goodies!

NAFSA - NAFSA: Association of International Education promotes the exchange of students and scholars to and from the US

ACTFL - The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages - Dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the teaching and learning of all languages at all levels of instruction.

TOEFL - Information on the Test of English as a Foreign Language. Required test of English for admission into most American universities
TOEIC - Information about the Test of English for International Communication

IELTS - International English Language Testing System - tests the complete range of English language skills which will commonly be encountered by students when studying or training in the medium of English. The British equivalent of the TOEFL.
ERIC - Access to Education Resources Information Center, the premier database of journal and non-journal education literature

ERIC/AE Test Locator - A database that contains over 10,000 tests and research instruments
