Subscribing to the AU TESOL Listservs

AUTSL-L:  Our main programmatic listserv that carries all administrative and course announcements, jobs and events information, and occasional humor of linguistic or cultural relevance.

To be added to the AUTSL-L listserv, send a message to bbrady@american.edu with the following in the body:

ADD AUTSL-L EMAIL ADDRESS NAME

For example, ADD AUTSL-L jenniedoe@hotmail.com JENNIE DOE

AUTIP-L: event announcements only. Perhaps 4-6 postings per semester

To be added to the AUTIP-L listserv, send a message to bbrady@american.edu with the following in the body:

ADD AUTIP-L EMAIL ADDRESS NAME

Subscribing to City University of New York's (CUNY's) TESL-L listserve

Send the following information in the body of your email: 

         SUB TESL-L (your e-mail address) (your first & last name) 

Send the e-mail to LISTSERV@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU.  Once you've subscribed to this main TESL-L listserve you can also subscribe to the following simply by sending the SUB message (with your first and last name only, you don't need to repeat your e-mail address) to the listserv name of your choice:
 
TESLCA-L (CALL and computer applications)         
TESLJB-L(Jobs and Employment) 
TESLFF-L (Fluency First/Whole Language)                  
TESLMW-L (Materials Writers)
TESLIE-L (Intensive English Programs)                    
TESP-L  (English for Specific Purposes)

The TESL-L listserve has now been equipped with a file of games and activites for teaching vocabulary! You can receive this information by following these instructions:

1) Address email to LISTSERV@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU
2) In the body of the mail, type 4 words: SEND VOCAB BOXES TESL-L
3) Send the mail.

          It's that simple! Also, there are tons of other useful files in the TESL-L archives. If you would like to see the file list, do the following:

          1) Address mail to LISTSERV@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU
          2) In the body of the mail, type these words: INDEX TESL-L
          3) Send the mail.

This listserve is entirely text-based, which means that the information travels fast, takes up minimal space, and can't possibly infect your hard drive with
some nasty virus! Send your email today!
