In order to
register online for MUS private lessons for Fall 2006, you MUST
complete all of the following steps:
If you are registering
for Applied Music Courses for the first time:
1. Sign up for a registration time on the Applied Music Bulletin Board in
the Katzen Arts Center during the first week of classes.
2. Meet with an applied music staff member at designated time for registration
authorization and advising.
Early registration begins
April 3, 2006. Please contact the applied music office at (202) 885-3872
to schedule an appointment.
If you have taken applied
music courses in the past, follow the instructions below to register for
MUS private lessons:
1. First, you must contact your desired music instructor and receive his/her
approval before being authorized to register for Applied Music lessons.

*Voice students are required to attend an interview session to be assigned
an instructor (dates and forms are posted on the Applied Music bulletin
board; contact Linda Allison, lindaahaslach@earthlink.net
for more information).
2. After receiving instructor approval, you must complete the registration
form below.
Please follow the instructions indicated on this form and click the SUBMIT
button when all the fields have been completed. Your request will be processed.
Once you have received a confirmation via e-mail you will be able to register
your course.
-- officially declared major or minor in Music --
-- officially declared major or minor in Theatre or Music Theatre --
-- officially declared major or minor in Audio Technology --
-- enrolled in the MA program in Dance or Arts Management --
-- actively involved in a DPA mainstage production which requires vocal
or instrumental performance during the intended semester of private study
enrolled
or actively participating in one of the following DPA ensembles during the
intended semester of private study (select one):
**NOTE:
All students registering for Applied Music (MUS-121, 122, 334, 434)
must register for and attend a mandatory Applied Music performance Lab (MUS-001).
This zero credit lab is scheduled for Wednesdays from 12:45-2:00pm in the
Abramson Family Recital Hall, Katzen Room 160. Requirements for all registrants
will be provided by your instructor as part of your Applied Music syllabus.
Students take this course as a Pass/Fall option only, not for a grade option.
