Chenyang Xiao is one of the newest members
of sociology department, joining the department in fall 2008
as an assistant professor. Prior
to this appointment, he was an assistant professor of sociology
at Albright College, PA. He will be teaching research
methodology courses to both undergraduate and graduate students
in this fall. His main research interests focus on environmental
sociology, more specifically, environmental concerns of general
public. He is currently conducting researches comparing
levels and structure of public environmental concern between
USA and China. Besides this main research interest, he
is also interested in quantitative research methodology and social
statistics.
