Level I Options (100-200-level Honors classes): no minimum
Option
A: The student registers for SIS 400 Honors Senior Seminar (3 credits each semester, 6 credits total) for successive fall-spring semesters. The Capstone will be supervised by both the seminar professor and a second SIS faculty member in the student's substantive area of interest. Note: students who take SIS 400 Honors Senior Seminar should have the course's professor sign as the "Department Honors Coordinator" on the Honors Capstone form.
Option B: The student registers for a regular SIS 400 Senior Seminar (3 credits) and completes the course with a Capstone Supplement that links a major paper or project to the course material.
Option C: The student registers for SIS 498 Senior Honors Thesis (3-6 credits) for either successive or concurrent semesters. The thesis should be supervised by a faculty member in SIS.
Option D: The student registers for an advanced (400-level or above) SIS course (3 credits) and completes the course with a Capstone Supplement that links a major paper or project to the course material.
