Nathan Price
Special Assistant to the Provost
Nathan Price serves as the special assistant to the provost at American University. His responsibilities include handling student-related issues, managing academic integrity initiatives, representing the provost on committees, and supporting the accomplishment of various provost priorities.
Before coming to AU, Price served as the assistant director of the Science, Technology and Society (STS) programs at the University of Maryland at College Park, where he was actively involved with the College Park Scholars program. Previously, he also taught biology, environmental science, and history at an independent high school in Washington, DC. Price graduated from Macalester College, where he studied history and biology. He has graduate degrees from the University of Maryland in American history and Yale University in theology. His research interests are in the field of environmental history, particularly relating to New England and his home state of
Maine.
