Upload HTML

Blackboard allows you to put your own HTML into your course. This can help you put very rich content online, however it can also be more complicated than adding regular documents. If you are having problems getting your HTML to work the way you expect, please feel welcome to contact us.

To upload HTML:

  1. Develop your HTML. You can use snippets of code and do not have to make a whole webpage.
  2. Log into Blackboard and click on the link to the course you want to revise
  3. Once the course page has loaded, click on "Control Panel"
  4. Under Content Areas, click on the area to which you want to add your Word document (e.g., "Course Documents")
  5. Click on "Add Item" button
  6. In Section 1, type the name that you want to show on Blackboard
  7. Then copy the HTML code you have created and paste it into the text window.
  8. Next click on the radio button for "HTML"
  9. Scroll down to the end of the page and click "Submit"
