Where do we meet?
Meetings schedules and places will be posted in the syllabus and on the BB web site through announcements and emails. On Mondays, go to the AU Blackboard (BB) site, and the course ("Spring 2007 Faculty Training Course for Distance Education"). There you will see an announcement for the class activity for the week. You will go to the appropriate week Tab for further instructions or posted readings or videos. Last, go to the Discussion Board for the week to discusses the nuances of online instruction and the process of translating your syllabus. On Thursdays, go to the site again for instructions on where the training is that day or the online equivalent. CTE has a training room in the Anderson Computer Lab in B-15. Generally go there for a face-to-face training session. Other sessions may be held in the Library or elsewhere. If you cannot make the Thursday session go to Hurst 10, the Teaching and Learning Center of CTE, for individual instruction. This is a drop in facility, but you are better off scheduling an appointment. What to Do Each Monday
1. Look at the BB Announcement
2. Go to the Correct Week and review the materials.
3. Join the BB Discussion Board to be part of discourse on the readings and points of interaction.
What to Do Each Thursday
If you can attend a face-to-face session do so, otherwise participate online. We will give you more details on this as the day approaches. Go to Anderson B-15 for training or drop in another time to Hurst 10.
