Violeta Ettle
Associate Provost for Administration

As Associate Provost, Violeta Ettle (x2720) oversees budgetary and administrative activities for the Provost and serves as her liaison on issues regarding information technology, facilities planning, risk management, and human resources. She works with the deans and unit heads on program development matters, contracts, process improvements and organizational change management.

For over 30 years, Ettle has served the American University community with her business and financial experience. Before her appointment in the Provost's Office, Ettle served as an Assistant Vice President of Finance and Treasurer and as an internal auditor. She holds a BS in Accounting from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, an MBA from American University, and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Education Administration at AU.
