SIS alumna Joyce Francis received her PhD in International Relations from the School of International Service. While teaching at George Mason University and Tulane University, she continued her commitment to the School, working as an adjunct professor, offering a Cross-Cultural Management Skills Institute. Dr. Francis received her MA in International & Intercultural Administration from the World Learning's School for International Training. Her work has taken her to Iran, Tanzania, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, and Senegal. Her research interests include international political economy, cross-cultural management, and citizen engagement in American foreign policy. Dr. Francis has developed several Multimedia E-Learning CD-ROMs including one entitled, "Literacy for Globalists." She also serves on the Rockefeller Brothers Fund's Task Force for the new edition of its communications guide, US in the World: Talking Global Issues with Americans. Dr. Francis will teach Introduction to International Relations Research and Micropolitics of Development this fall.
