Sookmyung International Summer School Program.

Experience traditional Korean culture. On this program, you will have a meaningful summer studying alongside Korea and international students in the Sookmyung International Summer School Program.

Faculty:
Professors from international partner institutions provide diverse courses on topics ranging from cross-cultural communication to leadership training to media history.

Academic Details:
The Program at Sookmyung Women's University provides AU students a chance gain global perspectives on the world while engaged in classes with Korean and other international students. Students take two courses during the three week program for a total of six AU credits. Classes meet five days a week for three hours each for the duration of the Program.

Site Visits
Students are introduced to Korean traditional culture on and off campus through field trips to the Korean Folk Village, Gyeonbokgung Palace, and the art markets in Insadong.

2009 Program Dates:
June 12 – July 4: Courses

Program Costs: AU tuition plus fees paid to Sookmyung Women’s University. Details provided in application materials. Scholarships are available upon application.

Who Should Attend:
Male and female undergraduate students from all majors and disciplines from AU only.

Logistics:
Students will stay on the Sookmyung Women’s University campus for the duration of the program.

Application and Deadlines:
Application materials are available through the Program Manager and are due by April 3, 2009. Students must read the program guide and materials provided by Sookmyung before applying.
