Public Health Scholars

Health is an Immediate Global Challenge.
Don't wait to make a difference.

The intensive 3-Year Cohort Program in Public Health will engage you from your first semester on campus.

You will engage in community service learning projects that
benefit various communities in the Washington, D.C. area, all
while living and learning with other like-minded students
under the guidance and mentorship of advanced students
and faculty.

In the fall of your sophomore year you will study abroad as a cohort in specially designed programs, learning first-hand how cultural perspectives inform the understanding and application of public health in rural urban areas around the world.

You also have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of an area of public health through your choice of multidisciplinary electives offered across campus and via internships available at home and abroad.

Finally, you may be able to complement your BA or BS in
Public Health by earning a second major or minor, during
your three years. Possible areas include biology,
communications, international relations, justice, marketing,
psychology, sociology or statistics.
