Young Alumni in Action

Young alumni are frequently found coming back to campus for events in addition to meeting at different areas throughout D.C. for drinks, networking, and informative lectures.

Pictured here are Joy Qian and Anya Arthur, SPA/BA '07 posing with Clawed Z. Eagle at a Men's Basketball Pre-party event hosted by Alumni Programs.

Thanks for your interest in our D.C. Young Alumni Chapter!

The Young Alumni Chapter strives to have fun, while cultivating a life-long commitment to American University through a diverse range of quality events.

Any AU alumnus/a who has graduated in the last 10 years and lives in the D.C. metro area is welcome to join the Young Alumni Chapter. The Young Alumni Chapter sponsors social, cultural and professional events and works with other alumni groups to create meaningful programs to enrich the lives of young alumni in the D.C. area. The alumni chapter is also an active member of the Capital Alumni Network. Recent events have included a brunch with the basketball coaches, a holiday happy hour, a Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament, and a service project with Hands on DC.
