Alumni
Greetings from Erin Fuller
Well, AU’s campus is a bit quieter this week after what was a very busy spring semester and graduation season! Please join me in welcoming the class of 2012 to AU’s Alumni Association. At this past weekend’s commencement exercises, we grew our family of Eagle alumni once again, this time by more than 1,400. Along with other members of the alumni board, I enjoyed celebrating with many of our newest graduates this year at a series of very well-attended senior barbecue events hosted by President and Mrs. Kerwin and the Office of Alumni Relations, as well as at the annual Toast to Graduates event, which was attended by over 1,100 people this year.
Speaking of great events, I want to thank those of you who came out and joined me on April 25 for the reception with President Kerwin at D.C.’s Hotel Monaco. We had more than 600 people in attendance at the event, which was the largest alumni gathering in AU’s history! We received great feedback from a spirited crowd. It was truly a wonderful time to meet and greet fellow alumni, and I look forward to doing it again!
As Dr. Kerwin noted, AU’s people and programs are on the rise and receiving great recognition. We were proud to provide a live webcast of his remarks, but if you missed it, please check it out now. And, whether you are in D.C. or in some other corner of the globe, as always, I encourage you to check out our calendar of events to find out when you can next connect with fellow alumni at a happy hour, networking reception, or other gathering!
Once an Eagle, always an Eagle!
