New Leadership Strengthens Kogod’s Graduate and Career Teams
Demonstrating the Kogod School of Business commitment to provide students with the best resources at every stage of their degree, the college has appointed two new directors to lead the Kogod Center for Career Development and Graduate Programs. Arlene M. Hill has been named Director of the Kogod Center for Career Development and Anne Ferrante has been named Director of Graduate Programs.
Hill will oversee career services for Kogod graduate and undergraduate students, provide leadership for employer outreach, direct on campus recruitment efforts, and manage the Kogod Center for Career Development’s (KCCD) resources related to career programming.
“Kogod students must graduate with a full complement of skills that will enable them to succeed in their chosen field. Those skills are honed both in and outside the classroom” said Richard Durand, Robert and Arlene Kogod Dean. “Arlene will provide critical leadership to ensure our students have the polish and career knowledge they need to grow throughout their professional career and serve as brand ambassadors for Kogod.”
Hill joins Kogod from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business where she served as Associate Director of MBA Career Management and previously as Associate Director of Employer and Alumni Relations in the main campus career center. She also held career management roles at Indiana University and Bowling Green State University. In addition to her higher education experience, Hill brings valuable industry experience in project management with ZKS Real Estate and the Kemper Corporate in Chicago.
In a new role at Kogod, Ferrante will have senior management responsibility for Kogod’s graduate degree portfolio, which includes the MBA, MS degrees, and certificates. She will also manage graduate program operations including advising and student services. Ferrante is charged with improving and advancing the graduate experience at Kogod.
“Dr. Ferrante brings a wealth of experience in graduate business education and program administration to the Kogod and AU communities,” said Lawrence Ward, Associate Dean for Academic Programs. “Her knowledge and enthusiasm for graduate programs and the Washington, DC market will be a tremendous asset for the business school and our students.
Ferrante joins Kogod from the School of Management at the University of Texas – Dallas, where she served as Director of the Global Leadership Executive MBA Program. Previously, she worked for AT&T/Lucent Technologies in various organizational development and human resources roles. Ferrante is an active member of AACSB, Executive MBA Council, Human Capital Institute, and the Society for Human Resources Management.Ferrente and Hill arrive on campus this summer.
