Undergraduate students may have the opportunity to earn credit for community service performed in conjunction with courses in which they are enrolled. In addition to at least 40 hours of approved field work, community service learning projects require an academic component related to the course with which the service project is associated. Students earn one credit for each community service learning project they successfully complete, with a maximum of three credits applied to graduation. Only the pass/fail grading option is available. Permission of the instructor of the course is required.
