Last fall, AU unleashed a new insurance plan especially for employees’ four-legged friends (birds and bunnies, too). Faculty and staff can choose from two Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) plans, which cover everything from X-rays and hospitalization to prescriptions and vaccinations. Coverage is available for cats, goats, turtles, opossums, snakes, iguanas, ferrets, potbellied pigs, and, of course, dogs like Ginger, pictured here with owner Brooke Sabin, an editor in University Communications and Marketing. (Ginger is co-owned by university photographer, Jeff Watts.) VPI enrollment is ongoing; for more details, click here.
