Campus Abuzz as President Kerwin Welcomes  Students

By Adrienne Frank

Pencils are sharpened; laptops are charged. Textbooks have been purchased, their crisp, white pages just begging to be highlighted and dog-eared. Schedules and syllabi have been finalized, though there’s always time for one more tweak. Dorms are decorated, and the coffee’s stocked and ready for that first all-nighter.

Campus is abuzz with excitement and activity as American University gears up for the fall semester, with classes kicking off Monday, August 23.

Check out AU president Neil Kerwin’s welcome message, and join him—and the rest of the campus community—August 23 for Celebrate AU. During the event, which runs from 2 to 4 p.m. on the quad, enjoy food and giveaways, connect with old friends, and chat up new ones.
