AU’s first annual Project Move-Out Community Sale was a success, raising more than $1,800 for M.O.M.I.E.’s TLC, a Washington-based mentoring program.

The April 30 event drew 318 bargain hunters from across the Washington area. Saavy shoppers landed deals on everything from electronics and furniture to linens and unopened toiletries. Students donated items as they cleared out of the residence halls for the summer; faculty and staff also chipped in, donating books, gently used clothing, and office supplies. Nothing was priced over $10.

Unsold items were distributed to A Wider Circle, the Capital Area Food Bank, and Damien Ministries.
