Bender Library Launches Its Academic Year

The Annual Faculty Lunch offers faculty an opportunity to meet and greet new colleagues, including Provost Scott Bass. The luncheon will be held Thursday, Sept. 4, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Mud Box. All faculty members are invited.

Let’s Talk About It: Jewish Literature, a book discussion series, begins Sept. 8 in the archives reading room, 7 p.m. The theme for the year is estrangement and homecoming; Lauren Strauss will guide the discussions.

Green on the Screen, the library’s Thursday lunchtime environmental film series starts Aug. 28. Screenings begin at 12:30 in Media Services.

Literary Afternoons in the Library begins Sept. 15 at 3:30 p.m., in the Mud Box. The afternoons feature readings by MFA graduate students in the Creative Writing program.
