American Falls to Top-Ranked Old Dominion
Eagles find difficulty against former CAA foe

Game Stats -- October 21, 2001

Norfolk, Va. -- American field hockey fell, 11-0, to nationally-ranked Old Dominion today in Norfolk, Va. The Monarchs recorded their highest scoring output of the season.

Six different players scored for Old Dominion. Juniors Tiffany Snow and Adrienne Yoder each had a hat trick in the contest. Yoder recorded a game-high four goals, tying the record for the largest goal output by a CAA player in a single game this season. She also assisted on three goals for 11 total points, another record in the CAA this year.

Junior goaltender Lauren McDonnell (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) had 12 total saves against 26 shots by the Monarchs.

American moves to 6-7-0 overall, 4-1-0 while playing in the Patriot League. The Eagles will look to rebound next week as they prepare to face their sixth Patriot League opponent in Bucknell this Saturday, Oct. 27, at 2:30 p.m.
