Snyder, Infante Receive Patriot League Player of the Week Honors The Eagles enter the Patriot League Championship Tournament as the No. 1 seed
November 3, 2003 WASHINGTON- Senior Melissa Snyder (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) was honored as the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week while teammate Camila Infante (Santiago, Chile/Santiago College) was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week. This is the second time this season Infante and Snyder have been honored as players of the week. Snyder closed out the Eagles’ regular season play against Bucknell as she led her team to a 3-2 victory with two goals and one assist. As the season comes to an end, Snyder leads the Eagles with 14 cumulative goals, and six assists, which currently puts her seventh on the AU all-time career point leaders list. In her freshman campaign, Infante has proven to the Eagles that she is a valuable member of the squad, scoring six goals this season, including the game winning goal against Bucknell. With the win, the Eagles secured sole possession of the regular-season crown. The Eagles will travel to Worcester, Mass. for the Patriot League Tournament Nov. 7-8, where they will be the number one seed.
