Kitty Hawk, N.C. - American University’s Phil Kief (Kingwood, Tx./Kingwood), Mark Nihill (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) and Chris Schieffer (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) all led the Eagles at 76 apiece in the first round of the ODU/Seascape Invitational. AU finished 10th for the day as a team. The tourney is hosted by Old Dominion University and held in Kitty Hawk, N.C.

Campbell University leads the tourney by two strokes (291 as a team) and 27 strokes separate the entire 15-team field. Gary Barton of William and Mary led all competitors with a 68. The Eagles are 16 strokes in back of Campbell with a score of 307 for the day.

Freshman Ben Hartman (Jupiter, Fla./SunCoast) finished tied for 56th with a 79 while junior Paul Servidio (Carmel, N.Y./Harrison) is tied for 61st after shooting an 80.

Play will continue on Tuesday with the final 18 holes beginning with an 8:00 a.m. tee time.
