American Finishes 10th at ODU Seascape Invitational
Final Round Rained Out

Kitty Hawk, N.C. - Rained washed out the final round of the ODU/Seascape Collegiate golf tournament. The results from day one stand, and as a result Campbell University is the tournament champion. American shot 307 as a team the first day and finished 16 shots in back of Campbell University’s 291. The tourney was hosted by Old Dominion University and held in Kitty Hawk, N.C.

In the first day of action, AU’s Phil Kief (Kingwood, Tx./Kingwood), Mark Nihill (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) and Chris Schieffer (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) all shot a 76.

Other Eagles competing on Monday were freshman Ben Hartman (Jupiter, Fla./SunCoast), who finished tied for 56th with a 79, and junior Paul Servidio (Carmel, N.Y./Harrison), who finished 61st after shooting an 80.

This was the final competition for the AU squad this fall. The Eagles next match will be March 10th, 2003 at the Winthrop Invitational.
