NAGS HEAD, N.C.- American University finished 14th at the in the ODU/Seascape Collegiate Golf Tournament behind the outstanding effort of juniors Phil Kief (Kingwood, Tx./Kingwood) and Chris Schieffer (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum). The duo both finished tied for 44th after hitting identical scores of 76 in both rounds.

Senior Seth Kaplan (Dallas, Tx./J.J. Pearce) finished 62nd with a 157 (78-79) while freshman Todd Shagin (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) finished 70th after posting rounds of 83 and 77 (160).

The individual title was won by Matt Johnson of Winthrop, who shot a five-under-par 139 (72-67). Virginia Commonwealth won the team title with a score of 574.

The Eagles will now be off until next spring when they compete March 8 in the Winthrop Waterford Invitational.
