Kief Top Finisher for American at Kauai Collegiate Cup

2004 | Stats As a team the Eagles moved up to a fifth-place finish after posting a final round of 301, the third best team score of the day. JuniorPhil Kief (Kingwood, Tx./Kingwood) finished the tournament third individually after shooting a 216. Kief was one of only three competitors to shoot either even or under par and he was just three shots off the leader. Kief shot a 71 in the final round, after posting scores of 73 and 72 in the first two rounds. Schieffer was fourth overall with a two-over-par 218 after rounds of 77, 73 and 68 respectively. Freshman Todd Shagin (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) finished tied for 16th after posting an 83 in the final round. His 229 put him at 13-over-par for the match. Paul Servidio (Carmel, N.Y./Harrison) followed up his first two rounds of 85 and 82 with a 79 on the final day. He finished 30th with a 30-over-par 246. Simon Fraser shot a 300 as a team to grab the title from British Columbia. Simon Fraser finished with an 889. Blake Rowe-Sleeman was the top individual finisher with a three-under-par 213. The course (Princeville, Makai) is 6,886 yards and a par 72.
