Seth Kaplan led AU to a seventh-place finish at the Lafayette Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Senior Seth Kaplan (Dallas, Texas/J.J. Pearce) led the Eagles to a 7th-place finish at the Lafayette Invitational after shooting a 150. Kaplan shot a 73 in the first round and followed it up with a final round of 77, which left him tied for 12th overall.

Chris Schieffer (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) was tied for first after shooting a 72 on the first day, but today he scored an 80, leaving him tied for 18th (152). Senior Matt Michaels (Hamilton, Ontario/Westdale Secondary) followed up his best round of the spring yesterday (76) with a 77 this afternoon. He finished tied for 24th at 153.

Todd Shagin (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) shot a second-day round of 82, which counted in AU's team scoring. Junior Phil Kief (Kingwood, Tx./Kingwood), who shot a 76 yesterday, was disqualified.

Binghamton's Keith Hendrickson finished two-under-par (142) to lead the Bearcats to victory. The tournament was held at the par-72, 6,772-yard Center Valley Golf Club in Center Valley, Pa.

The Eagles will next compete in the Bullock Collegiate Classic, which will be held in Dayton, Ohio.
