Falls To Richmond On Road

finishes with eight points, paces Eagles. RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Greg Stevenson had 25 points and 10 rebounds - his eighth double-double - as Richmond rolled to a 73-32 win over American on Wednesday. Richmond (19-6, 10-4 CAA) closed the first half with a 24-0 run and opened the second period with a 15-0 run. The Spider's defense held the Eagles (6-20, 2-13) to the fewest points in Robins Center history. Richmond also set a home court record with 13 blocked shots, five of them by Tim Faulconer. American, led by former Virginia head coach Jeff Jones, shot 23.7 percent for the game and had 19 turnovers. The Eagles were led by Keith Graves with eight points in American's eleventh straight loss. Richmond has won ten
of their last twelve games in the hunt for the regular season CAA title.
