HAMILTON, N.Y. -
A win in doubles by Tushar Garg (Mumbai, India / Bradenton Academy) and Andreas Kulcsar (Nuremberg, Germany/Neues Gum. Nuremberg) in the No. 1 position was not enough for the Eagles as they dropped their first Patriot League match, 4-3, to the Colgate Raiders.

The Eagles were able to being the match strong, winning the doubles point with two close 9-8 (3) wins in the first and third position, but with only two singles wins, it was not enough for American.

Jonah Fliegelman (Philadelphia, Pa. / Central) and Ruben Rivero (Sevilla, Spain / Suffolk County Community College) took home the second doubles victory in the third spot, while in singles, Garg and Sebastian Proisy (St. Nom la Breteche, France) took home the only wins in the second and sixth spots, respectively.

The Eagles are now 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the League. With the win, Colgate moves into first place in the league.
