8th, women ranked 10th

The American University Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams are both ranked in the top ten based on the NCAA Mid-Major Rankings of CollegeSwimming.com. The men are ranked 8th in the January poll, while the women are ranked 10th.
This ranking, based upon dual-meet points, aims to recognize schools and conferences that do not benefit from the exposure of finances of television contracts. Point values are based upon FINA, calculated by each team and tabulated by CollegeSwimming.com.
Other participating institutions are from the following conferences: America East, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Ivy/EISL,Metro Atlantic, Mid-America, Mid-Continent, Midwest, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Sun Belt, Trans America, and West Coast.
The men are a perfect 7-0 on the season and ranked higher in the poll than any other CAA team. The only other CAA team to rank above the women was East Carolina.

Women's teams next see action at the CAA Championships, taking place at
George Mason, February 21-24.
