American
Swimming and Diving Teams Ready for Holiday Training, VI Torneo Ciudad
Men's and women's teams to train in Florida for two
weeks, then travel to San Sebastian, Spain, for annual tournament

WASHINGTON
-- Following exams and the holiday break, the men's and women's swimming
and diving teams will travel to Florida for an extended training period.
The teams will depart on Tuesday, Jan. 1, and will return on Saturday,
Jan. 12 before classes begin on Jan.14.
Following the training trip, the Eagles will return to Washington for
five days before leaving again on Thursday, Jan. 17 for the VI Torneo
Ciudad, held in San Sebastian, Spain. American men and women will compete
in the nationally-televised tournament all day on Saturday, and then will
have an opportunity to see the sights on Sunday, Jan 20, when the annual
feast of San Sebastian will be held in the town. The team will then fly
home the following Monday on Martin Luther King day.
The men and women
will return to dual meet action on Jan. 26 when they host Patriot League
foe Army at 12:00 p.m. in the Reeves Aquatic Center.
