Liscinsky Earns PL Male Swimmer of the Meet Honors for Second Straight

Liscinsky (Olney, Md./Sherwood) was named the Patriot League Male
Swimmer of the Meet for the second straight year. He and six other AU
swimmers earned All-Patriot League honors as announced today by the league
office. Senior Mike Lawson (West Chester, Pa./Westtown) took his first ever conference title with a 50.95 in the 100 backstroke, which also earned him all-league honors for the first time in his career. Lawson also medaled in the 200 backstroke, finishing third, and led off both the winning and record-setting 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay teams. Junior Dominick Szabo (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) repeated as an all-league selection after setting meet and pool records in the 100 breaststroke, for which he had already qualified for next month's NCAA Championships. Szabo also earned second place finishes in both the 200 breaststroke and 200 Individual Medley (qualifying for the NCAA’s in both events) and was a member of the winning record-setting 200 medley, 400 medley relay and 400 freestyle relays. Junior Ethan Bassett (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) took first in the 200 breaststroke (2:00.01), setting new league, meet and pool records in the process and earning an NCAA qualifying time. Bassett also took the 400 Individual Medley, defending his title from last year in 3:57.82. Additionally, he picked up a second place finish in the 500 freestyle and was also a member of the winning and record-setting 400 freestyle and 800 freestyle relay teams. Junior Erwan Jeffroy (Marleil-Marly, France/Lycee Jeanne D'Albret) made his first appearance on the All-Patriot League Team after setting a new league and meet record in the 500 freestyle. Jeffroy also earned a third place in the 400 Individual Medley and was a member of the winning and record-setting 400 freestyle and 800 freestyle relay teams. Junior Steve Maher (Stuart, Fla./Lincoln) makes his second appearance with all lifetime best swims earning him third place finishes in both the 100 freestyle and the 100 butterfly. Maher was also a member of the winning and record-setting 200 medley, 400 Medley and 800 freestyle relay teams. The American women had one representative on the all-league squad in junior Jessica Lidstrom (Stockholm, Sweden/The Swedish School in London), who finished with 46 points at the league championships. Lidstrom, a repeat performer on the all-league team, took third in both the 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle and a fifth place finish in the 200 Individual Medley. American captured eight individual titles at the meet and won four relay races en route to setting four new school records, six league records, 10 meet records and 13 pool records.
