Dec. 19, 2003 WASHINGTON – Casey Moore has been named as the diving coach for American University’s swimming and diving team, effective January 1, 2003. A graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in kinesiology, Moore dove competitively at the collegiate level at both the University of Delaware and the University of Maryland. In addition to her diving skills, Moore was a United States Trampoline National Champion and has been a national competitor in acrosport, tumbling, hand balancing and in both mini and synchronized trampoline. She has also performed
in numerous live diving shows including shows in Tochigi, Japan, Busch
Gardens of Williamsburg and at Club Med in Florida. American University, which fields a 19-sport NCAA Division I athletics program featuring 10 women’s sports and nine for men, recently completed its third year of membership in the Patriot League. Since joining the Patriot League, the University has captured league championships in men’s cross country, women’s cross country, women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and women’s volleyball, field hockey and a regular-season title in men’s basketball.
