Make It Three for Biddulph: PL Rookie of the Week
California native hit over .500 for AU Volleyball

Cutrina Biddulph earned her third Patriot League Rookie of the Week award as the Eagles improve to 6-0 in the league.

WASHINGTON — For the third time in her short career, American University's Cutrina Biddulph was named the volleyball Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the week of Oct. 14.

Biddulph, a product of Reseda, Calif., had 20 kills and 11 blocks over the two-match weekend in which AU claimed first place in the Patriot League with a 3-0 win over previously undefeated Lehigh Friday night followed by a 3-0 decision over Lafayette Saturday night.

She averaged 3.33 kills per game on 33 attempts with a .513 hitting percentage. Biddulph also chipped with 1.67 digs. The middle blocker has been a key figure in American's 14-6 overall start and 6-0 showing in the Patriot League.

No stranger to success, Biddulph was named to the Duke Classic All-Tournament Team this year playing against two ranked opponents and a third receiving votes in the USA Today/AVCA Division 1 Poll.

Currently ranked fourth in the NCAA Division 1 Women's Volleyball Northeast Regional rankings, AU heads to Navy Friday night for a 7 p.m. start.

American University, which fields a 19-spory NCAA Division I athletics program featuring 10 women’s sports and nine for men, recently completed its inaugural year of membership in the Patriot League.
