WORCESTER, Mass. -- American University raised its record to 3-0 in Patriot League play after they defeated Holy Cross 3-1 (30-19, 28-30, 30-28, 30-16). Karla Kucerkova (Olomouc, Czech Republic/Brno) led the way with 27 kills, 24 digs and a block assist.
Sabrina
Vasconcelos (Fortalezza, Brazil/Colegio Christus) paced AU's offense
with 30 assists. She also had three kills and nine digs. Cutrina
Biddulph (Reseda, Calif./Granada Falls)
collected 12 kills and two block solos while Natacha
Cornaz Switzerland/Gymnase Auguste Piccard) finished with 10 kills,
13 digs and a pair of block assists.
American is now 6-8 overall, and 3-0 in the Patriot League. They will attempt to continue their Patriot League winning streak against the Army at West Point Saturday, October 4th at 7 p.m.
