AU Volleyball Sweeps Colgate, 3-0
Kucerkova within 37 kills of all-time career kill record

HAMILTON, N.Y.- In three tight games of volleyball, the AU Eagles were able to sweep the Colgate 30-27, 30-27, 30-27. The Eagles have now won 39 straight Patriot League matches, and are currently 16-9 overall and are 12-0 in the conference.

The Eagles were led to victory by senior Karla Kucerkova (Olomouc, Czech Republic/Brno), who had 17 kills. Kucerkova is presently ranked 16th in the nation in kills per game, and is only 37 kills away from breaking the decade old AU record for kills per game.

Also leading the Eagles to victory over the Raiders was junior Courtney Mulford (San Diego, Calif./La Costa) who posted 22 set assists, 7 kills and .700 attack percentage. Mulford has continually been a strong force for the Eagles totaling 315 set assists for the season, including 25 set assists against Georgetown. AU was also helped to victory over Colgate by junior Cutrina Biddulph (Reseda, Calif./Granada Hills), who posted 12 kills.

As the Eagles prepare for the upcoming Patriot League Tournament, they look to defeat rivals Bucknell on Nov. 8, and Navy on Nov. 14.
