Tops American, 16-9, In Women's Lacrosse
Morlang paces
second-ranked Greyhounds with five point effort.

Washington, D.C. - Loyola junior Stacey Morlang tallied four goals and
one assist as the Greyhounds defeated American, 16-9, today in a Colonial
Athletic Association women's lacrosse game at AU's Reeves Field.
After Loyola (11-1, 6-0 CAA) took an early 2-0 lead, the two teams exchanged
goals and the Greyhounds held a 3-2 edge with 20:30 remaining in the first
half. Loyola then scored six straight goals and would take an 11-4 at
the half.
The Greyhounds continued their strong play as the second half began and
tallied three goals in the first five minutes of the half to secure the
win. American (5-7, 1-5 CAA), however, played tough and rallied to cut
into the Loyola lead.
Bridget McGeady (Sr., A, Severna Park, MD/Archbishop Spalding) and Ashley
Flanigan (Sr., M, Glastonbury, CT/Glastonbury) each recorded three goals
and one assist for AU in the loss.
In goal, Vicki Miller (Sr., Woodlyn, PA/Ridley) and Laura Randisi (Fr.,
Towson, MD/Notre Dame Prep), who today made her collegiate debut, combined
for 16 saves for AU. Megan Santacroce and Lauren Peck each added three
goals and one assist for Loyola.
American next faces Monmouth on Tue., Apr. 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Reeves Field
while Loyola prepares for the CAA Tournament on April 20-21 in Richmond,
Va.
