American University lacrosse players Ashley Flanigan and Robyn Mincher were today named to the All-CAA Second Team. Flanigan leads the Eagles in scoring while Mincher is a tough defender who covers opponents' top offensive players.
Flanigan, a senior midfielder and 2000 All-CAA First-Team selection, has 24 goals and 16 assists (40 total points) this season. She has scored in each of the Eagles' 13 contests and has registered seven multiple-goal games. Also a two-year starter on the women's soccer team, Flanigan ranks second in AU lacrosse history for assists (49) and third in goals (98) as well as points (147). Mincher, a sophomore defender, has 24 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers on the season.
