WASHINGTON — Sophomore midfielder Moriah Linnell (Antrim, N.H./Contoocook Valley) has been selected to the Honorable Mention list for InsideLacrosse.com’s Player of the Week for the week ending March 21, InsideLacrosse.com officials announced Tuesday.

Linnell was selected for her four-goal, one assist performance in a 15-10 victory over league-rival Lehigh on Saturday. The 5-7 midfielder scored the Eagles’ first and last goals, and was all over the field in between, accumulating four ground balls, four draw controls and causing three turnovers.

On the season, Linnell is tied for third on AU in scoring with 17 points on 12 goals and five assists. She has scored on 12 of her 19 shots (.632), second best on the team, and is tied for the team lead in ground balls, with 16.

Linnell and the rest of the Eagles return to action on Wednesday, March 24, at 4 p.m. when they travel to Baltimore to square off against 15th-ranked Johns Hopkins University on Homewood Field in a non-league contest. American (3-3, 2-0 Patriot League) will look to extend its current three-game win streak.
